Jul 26, 2008 - this man is brilliant(not as gd as barenboim)search him

Slashfan90210 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - for people who don't have any musical knowledge, it's not even that noticable. Does it really matter if he dropped the semitone the second time rather than the first? It's like the mistake in Metallica's Master of Puppets solo. It's a mistake but still sounds good.

TonyAtma Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - The feeling expressed in this peace is very Melancholy and gives an intense since of grief or maybe lack of courage and that is why the drop down is so damned important... But a mistake on a recording is no big deal, because this guy is simply the best of his time, and you people who say you can play this better make me think" Can you play the things this man can play all better? thought not" Plus his playing the third movement is.. well awe inspiring would be an understatement.

kajohada Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - ...that´s very right!tnx for this comment.....

DarkMoodIndigo Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Two things, look at the guys face and look at how he plays Moonlight Mvt. 3. He is f**king INTENSE. AMEN TO THIS GUY!

FotrissimoSilver Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Yeah, he's like piano to the extreme.

kloop2 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - It's ment to be lifeless. Thats how beethoven intended it. He probably created it so others would feel how he felt, I mean he was deaf; he was a sad man inside and he's expressing that in this song ( that's my theory anyway )

Snapy241 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Great interpretation, great piece... I like Kempff's face and expressions :P

smotpoker86 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I think this guy and Frank Zappa were good friends.

HiEveryoneYo Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - your theory does make sense cause the song has a sadness to it. in truth though, Beethoven made this to express his love for his "immortal beloved" whom no knows the name of. she's a nameless lover he dedicated the song too :O

HiEveryoneYo Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - agreed!

white88supremacy Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - This song as many of you said is dedicated to a namless lover, this is like a bittersweet song, its sad, but it makes me feel that has hope, Beethoven was a master, and he has been since, I admire Beethoven since I was a little girl, hopping and dreaming to play at least one of his master pieaces

white88supremacy Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Actually Beethoven's lover had a name, her name was Theresa, and the song Für Elise is dedicated to her, she was her pupil, and he asked her to married him, but nothing happend, Beethoven had a terible handwritten his publisher wrote Fur Elise instead of Fur Theresa

12ubyKnight Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - never heard it played so beautifuly in my entire life

skillmage Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - This is so great, you see all the people who play it fast or W/E this tell the story. Good job

Icemario187 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - He looks like he's about to fall asleep. But he plays with grace and a sense of charm.

morganika Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - the first movement of this piece always gives me chills.

beethovenbuddy Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - i love this, i heard this and it inspired me to play piano, so i learned, and this is the first ever piece i learned, its so full of feeling, words cant exlain it, its one thing to listen, but a totally different thing to actually play it yourself..... a great feeling

oboegirl1994nm Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I totally agree. I'm teaching myself to play it, and I get a totally indescribable feeling when I play it. This is a really good song

beethovenbuddy Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - im glad you agree with me oboegirl1994nm its gotta be one, if not the best of his work, although fur elise is quite fun to play, when your bored, but doesnt compare to this sonata, and the feelings it portrays, piano and violin are the instruments i like to play best
