Jul 26, 2008 - Those songs are great, but how about "Earn Enough for Us?" Partridge has spoken of Todd's and XTC'sdifferences in making this record, and howit took him time to really appreciate whata great album it was and is!

Jul 26, 2008 - I agree with u, todd's production were the best as always ( 12 rods). And again, the band ended hating todd's work, but the secuencial songs are the best thing ive heard in years. The songs are the best of the best ive heard of xtc. Much more song architecture than other albums

Jul 26, 2008 - ¨Grass/Meeting place fusion really worked well imho.¨Interesting then what you think of the rest of the songs on Skylarking. I think imho that it's the best album of all times.
asxtc Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - I also thought that "Wheel/Maypole" was really cleverly done. There are sooo many great songs spread throughout all the albums.Language in our lungs, Battery Brides, Then She Appeared, Jason ATA, Scissorman, Dear God, Greenman, Harvest...brilliant.
enossified Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - aw, he had just found his marbles at the beginning of the song, and then he goes and loses them again. :(
dikraneg Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Oh man, those vocal harmonies...I remember them hating Todd Rundgren's slant on their sound but then, DEVO hated Brian Eno's production of their first album, and it's a landmark in rock history...I must have listened to Skylarking - and to "Are we not men?" - three hundred times, honest, and it still sounds fresh and new to this day, plus, impossible not to play from start to finish.
