His proposed windfall profits tax on oil companies will raise prices more or these companies may just leave America. Government can't define excess profits. If they could, they would tax Coca Cola before oil companies. If we want lower prices, we need to pull out all of the stops to lower consumption and increase supply and develop alternatives. Obama won't do all of this.

Aug 21, 2008 - i'm not sure what planes have to do with your argument, but they won't be cheap to fly on either.batteries aren't the answer - alternative fuels are. there just isn't enough stuff, ie the right kind of metals in the ground to replace all the vehicles in the world with electric ones. electricity probably will be more important in the future, though.vote based on policy, not just experience, which obama has enough of. he did spend years in the illinois senate.
