Jul 7, 2008 - That's because she is! She's the only gymnast who's gone for 3 Olympics and is still competing for the 2008 Olympics. Plus, she's the only gymnast who's won the World Championship thrice and has a move named after her in every single gymnastic discipline. She'll be 28 in 2008. Bet you can't name any gymnast competing in the Olympics at that age!

Jul 7, 2008 - Oops, my bat. She won't be competing in the next Olympics, but she'll still be competing in other arenas not quite as huge as the Olympics. At least that's what she says in a Russian interview. I still feel that she should have won the AA in 2004. Still, she's the best. Guess she's now focused on being a mother. Gave birth in 2005.

She made vault final in 2007 and has a very good chance of medaling. She is 32.Isabelle Severino competed in the 1996 and 2004 Olympics, and recently made beam finals at worlds this year. Beijing should be her 3rd Olympics. She is around 28 years old.

But you are right there are gymnasts still competing in their late 20s, early 30s. It'll be a HUGE comeback for Svetlana if she competes again, IF.

Jul 7, 2008 - The last pass (she has had troubles in the warm-up, according to Elfi) is so weird... If I see it correctly, it´s a round-off and than half twist into one and a half twist, so not very difficult, just... weird, especially when she had done another front one and a half twist earlier in the routine.Great music and choreography though.
