Jul 7, 2008 - its pretty fucking hard to just start jammin out of the blue with people u dont usually jam with abealexander but u would only know that bein a musician so ill excuse ur ignorance. As for bob weir hes awesome and he thinks ur a d-bag

khbgkh Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - The only reason this is is because the general public do not accept wind instruments as "cool" or "up-to-date". people see them as typewriters to computers.

khbgkh Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I would've picked a way more fun chord progression than that. it's kind of boring and limits the types of phrasing you can play with.

Chromatype Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - those two clowns should never have jammed with Peyton...it just confirmed what all the true players knew.

phishdawg Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - chromatype the only clown is the colored fella playing the brass instrument

noiresoldier Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Did you really just type the word "colored"??? phishdog needs to be hung by the nuts raw from a willow tree

obsidiansands1 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - It never ceases to amaze me the amount of anger that music clips generate on youtube, and there are some wonderfully rare and intriguing ones, too. We are lucky to live in a world with a sacred universal language like music, which breaks down all barriers. Open your minds and hearts and listen- not everything has to be a competition. In fact, the best music is not. It is a collective cry.

phishdawg Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - shut up u fuckin hippy

obsidiansands1 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Well, in the face of such a staggeringly mature and decisive comment such as that, what could anyone say in defense? You most certainly win. Try not to choke on your own rage.

arcellus Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - yup, nick does his job and gets out of there. pure class. i was feeling a little nervous for him at first.

ezekieloak Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Seriously. This sounds great! Typing more than enjoying?

DAVINOENTERPRISES Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - nice and very classy!

paradidd Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - The fact is that they play a long 24 bar long blues and which Payton masterfully plays but then Weir just fucks up the form and if I were Trey, I would of stuck to the form and MADE Weir follow. It just shows how mindless Weirs improvising is. He can't improvise on a high or in this case even a basic one. Payton is on a whole other level this is just a fact. More people probably want to hear T and W and it just shows what a sad state of affairs it is in the US. T and W's time is real weak too.

paradidd Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Dude, kid, whatever, your comment reeks of ignorance. Trey doesn't come close to Paytons level of playing, versatility or on any other level. The only thing that Trey can do here that Payton can't is play chords and I'll bet P. could smoke Trey on chords if he sat down at a piano like most great Jazz horn players they are very well versed in chords and changes way beyond someone like Trey. The fact is Payton can play many more styles than Trey and on a much higher musical level.

paradidd Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - It is amazing how ignorant people are to Jazz and how much it takes to play it. They just DON"T have a clue. This is not meant to be mean to anyone, it is just a fact..

keatingpiers Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Disregarding the fact that treyphan77 is clearly a big-headed douchebag with an ego much too large for even the most seasoned musicians ("I have been a fan of Trey's since about 1990 and studied his music from a technical standpoint quite extensively"...congratulations, Professor Phishfan), I don't see where you are going with this comment.

bibimbab111 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - On a smaller note I think we're also lucky to live in a world with youtube where you can get virtually any music you want at the click of a mouse, I think having that has spoiled a lot of people and made them quicker to criticize when they should just listen and enjoy

scoreonthis16 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - well when you play with someone for more than 30 years you become adapt to the way that they play. you can shut up because bob weir is deff not a telentless ass clown, he may not be the best guitarist but he deff knows his way around the neck and can jam. haha abealexander1 you are the clown....

drewlsy Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - wish weir didn't come in with that last chord after peyton's long sustained ending note.

NateMcMurph Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Payton>Trey>Weirsick jam though. Loved it.

bibimbab111 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - so cool, this jam evokes Connecticut as a place so well!

stukat99 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - If not for effect...then for originality duesch. Come on coat-tail rider, we won't miss you when your gone!!

ziqqyman101 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - nate your an idiot, are you honestly going to compare payton to trey or weir? they play different instruments! and who's to say whats better or worse, i can't stand when people try to compare musical artists that aren't remotely similar

trkn8r Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - very uninspired playing by trey, weir actually kinda sucks and nick payton saves this from being unwatchable

lordtone1 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Ha! I'd like to see what you came up with when put on the spot with any one of those individuals. Get real.
