Just because they do other things, doesn't mean they do less of one. It's not like they have credits which can be used on cameras or other stuff. They can and do do both, and excellently.

Nov 20, 2008 - I would defy anyone to look at a photo and be able to say whether it was shot on a Canon or a Nikon. I think the arguments about quality became negligible some time ago.I use Nikon for the sole reason that I prefer their control system to that of Canons. Pure and simple. I find Nikons are more intuitive and enable me to work better. Other people find the same with Canon. Its personal preference.

Nov 20, 2008 - I agree with you. Pro end Nikons and Canons are really a matter of preference. Entries are different though. I worked in a camera store, and the preference for entries seemed to be Canons because for the same price you could get a camera with more features. The main thing was that you didn't have to menu surf to change the ISO or WB, like the Nikon entries did. That was a key thing for the consumers in my area.
