Jul 7, 2008 - Where's that good ol' Clopin scythe chopping action? I keep looking for it!
jarvisel Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - "Don't thank me, thank Kasimoto, who fought like an effing badass with torches and molten lava and beams of steel, and Gringoire, who wrote a...pamphlet."
cyclopticeye Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Why was I not made of stone like these?

interficere Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - They totally changed the ending!Where's Victor HUgo's dark, sad story?
QueenSupreme89 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Oh come ON!!! Everyone's HAPPY except Quasi, and Esmeradla just ABANDONS him!?! Geez, that's not right at all. Even if you've gotta make it a happy ending, at LEAST give the TITLE CHARACTER some happiness!!
twolionss Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - absoloutely brilliant - I just saw all 13 parts wow! I had forgotten how excellent this film is! one thing only: why was there no kiss between esmeralda and frollo, as the book says?...thank you so much for posting.
twolionss Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - IMO Notre Dame de Paris begs for a mini TV series. A motion picture is just too short a medium - there are so much more in this book. And please let's just see the original ending for once, skeletons and all...Have I said thanks for posting????Thank you again!
Breedo Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - A pretty good movie indeed, thank you for uploading. It showed lots of the ugly and stupid side of human kind, torture is really sad. My favorite character of this movie must have been Gringoire cause he's such a visionary. There are still lots of sorrow in this world such as ugliness of a face is still made a big deal, people should learn to love with their hearts not their eyes.
jennyliciOusxO Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - since wen did did the book say they kissed? he tried kissin her all over as rape but there was no "kiss between them"
twolionss Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Oh yes there was!Book7,end of Chapter8: F stabs Ph, Esme is terrified and she "....swooned, but at the moment ere her eyes closed and she lost all consciousness, she seemed to feel a fiery pressure on her lips, a kiss more searing than the brand of the torturer"-verbatim. It's not in the musical and no film has ever shown it(well,I don't know if it's in the '77 version),which is a damn shame...

Jul 7, 2008 - oo ii thot that kiss was from phoebus
barnardoo98 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - I think it is quite possibly the only version where Phoebus dies.
LadyDeath092 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - i'm glad that they had a happy ending than in the book has but i feel sorry for quasimodo!
iluvcheezitsheyhey Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - I love classic film and Hugo's story is beautiiful, but parts of this film made me laugh so hard. (i.e. Quasi trotting around large vat singing "Molten metaaaal!" and Frollo's cats and the spazzing characters - woohoo!) The scene between Esme and Quasi in the cathedral is my favorite! Thanks for posting!!
mirigans000 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - lon chaney and charles laughton both did such a good job as quasimito. i have to admit i never read the book. i have to watch the other three versions to compare the movies.
HugosNotreDame Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Read the book, I tell you! It's better than any of the adaptations
logenisti Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - "Why was I not made of stone like thee?"Always breaks my heart.
warningfellow Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - I admit that the main characters where alive but it still has a sad ending however that quasimodo still wont join because he cannot be part of the merry people give cheer to esmeralda
peymaania Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Oh I get it, this is the Happy Disney Version that has nothing to do with the Original Novel. How Clever, let's Rewrite Macbeth, Hamlet and Othelo too!Let's Disney-Fy the Whole World...Loving it.
