Jul 7, 2008 - a good idea, but you would probably wear out the diode quickly because it was not made for that kind of power.

Jul 7, 2008 - Ya know, if you just strike that match on a rough surface, it'll light a lot faster and with much less effort. Just sayin'......

Jul 7, 2008 - 'Tighten the screw'......OK so you've cranked up the current to the laser diode. Sure it'll work but not for long :-)

alikababa3 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Viacom has sued YouTube for $1 billion dollars because their fatcat bosses believe that YouTube is infringing copyright. But furthermore and for some unexplainable, ridiculous reason, Viacom has been given information about EVERY single YouTube account, yes that even means yours, containing links to every video you have ever watched. Help stand up to the corporate fatcats by copy and pasting this into as many videos as possible, and by boycotting any of Viacom's services.VIVA LA YOUTUBE!

PhoneLad Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - they sell actual burning lasers?

marshalljoyner Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - no they dont sell burning lasers...they sell lasers with a certain operational amplifier on them that modifies the lasers wavelength with frequency feedback in the op amp circuit ...if you take that band limiting circuit out of the circuit you get a short and you gain power and thus wavelength which make the waves shorter more compact much like a blueray disc is made or any disc for that matter...be easy greasy
