Nov 18, 2008 - ok karma is getting freaky on me lately. I open my calculator and just pi is showing, just pi. also earlier today when i typed in the house of cards aka the banks will fall, one of my posters fell off the ceiling(yes I hang posters on my ceiling why not?)I wanted to check the 144 / by oh shit rewind.

Nov 18, 2008 - Quality. Am well looking forward to watching this. Some dude sent me the trailer through Youtube... 5minutes later am getting comfy to watch this apparant thought provoking, mind tingling beauty of a film that I've been missing out on all this time...Here go's

CH3MIS7RY Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - phi = (1+((5)^1/2))/2

johnmln Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Don't watch the final part (4) of the movie

CH3MIS7RY Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - go you...i did the I-III thing, too...i always found calculus II to be the hardest of the three...kinda odd.

darkprose Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Very provocative. I wonder what Cohen would think of Alain Badiou.

mullenjam Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - i have a question for any mathematicians. Pi goes on forever right? But is it possible to make it finite if you used a different system other than the decimal system? Like, instead of going up to ten to go to the next place, you used 9 or 14 or something? The only reason why i ask is that there has to be a way to get it. I mean, a circles dimensions are finite things, there just has to be a way.

ComeLeVent Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I'm not a mathematician, but the number itself is independent from the system in which you write it. If you make a photo of an apple, does it matter what camera you use?The infinite sequence of digits expresses precision, it has nothing to do with the circle being infinite. It's quite finite, 3.1 + something. ;)

32BIT Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - The numbers decimals go on forever, right. Nothing can be made finite, and pi is already finite. What it is, is irrational and transcendent. Means it can't be written in the form p/q with p,q integers (that's why it's decimal representation is infinite) and it can't be the root of a polynomial with rational coefficients. It basically one of those numbers that set the difference between real/complex numbers and all the wider known rest. The number-system doesn't change the infinite represantation

OrthodoxSteel Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I think we can crack the lottery systems using mathematics to detect patterns.

akmkat Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - lol, no man, pi is irrational, it doesn't matter which number system u choose.

Styhn Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Could someone tell me what song the mysterious guy is singing at 11:58? Thanks!

richboy109 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - frank sinatras i only have eyes for you

Styhn Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Thank you very much :)

conspirator272727 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I wish, but it's completely random. If it were possible, someone would have done it already.

Kenyai Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - It's not completely random; but it is extremely chaotic. To predict the winning powerball numbers, for example, you would have to know the exact position and orientation of all of the balls before they began to jump around, the coefficients of friction between them, etc. Inputting this data into a computer would take some time and it would also take some time to calculate the answer via simulation. Finally, if there is a chance for human intervention, you have to read minds.

mfgootcagfy Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - my dad always tells me everything is possible if calculating pi is possible whys isnt this

mfgootcagfy Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - also i dont mean u cant calculate pie fully because its infinite but we got something right

SteveKaczynski Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Human alienation (especially Max's) is an important part of this. The insincere friendliness of the stock exchange lady and the Orthodox Jewish cultists (and the possibly sincere friendliness of the lady next door) are all rebuffed by him.

ManDinner Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Great movie, I saw this with my philosophy class when in college. I never understood the significance of the ants though.

conspirator272727 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I'm just saying that you can't detect patterns because there aren't any consistent ones.

conspirator272727 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Because pi is a constant. Unlike the lottery and the stock market, it never changes . Its mathematic qualities can be seen physically and are evident in circular circumference.

Azraeltheartist Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - oh my fucking GOD THE CIRCLES ARE COMING HOLY SHIT.I CAN'T STOP THEM. FUCKING CIRCLES.

Azraeltheartist Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Circles are governed by pi. if a straight line is a circle then a circle is a straight line. thats called the transitive property. circles will explain god and its entirety

Nanumir Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - theta? you mean the angle of a triangle is the same thing as the golden ratio??? you must mean phi
