Nov 18, 2008 - simple.............? ehhh

drls1313 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - the man is epic. thats all.

PKTN88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - with all respect you are a yamakasi you still far way from being traceur

ruzkin Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Wait, what?Are you insane?

PKTN88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - no man I'm not. see what DAVID BELLE said about Le Parkour and don't forget he created that

ruzkin Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Man, David Belle created parkour with Sebastien Foucan, and they still own the name 50/50, so don't start drawing lines in the sand between Yamakasi and Traceurs. Parkour is a philosophy, but those who train it are no better people than those who train Yamakasi, Freerunning, or anything in between. To claim that David Belle is the be-all and end-all because he "created" parkour when he in fact co-created it with Seb just shows that you can't take any one person's words as gospel.

PKTN88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - man ..Sebastien Foucan didn't create anything because David Belle took it from his father and you said about Le Parkour is a philosophy which it has a meaning not like the free runing (like skate board )..and remember that every thing in our life that we do it suppose to mean something

ruzkin Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Man, don't buy into the anti-freerunning hype. David Belle, Seb Foucan and all the Yamakasi trained together in the same way for many years, right up until Luc Besson offered them the starring role in his film Yamakasi.Yes, Parkour has a philosophy that stemmed from the influences of Raymond Belle, but that philosophy influenced the training methods of ALL the Yamakasi crew for years before the split. Their physical abilities are the same.

drls1313 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - 0:22 is just wow

drls1313 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - what you said in the beginning made no sense, and thats where this arguement started. yamakasi is a group, and a traceur is ANYONE. who practices parkour. of any skill level.

PKTN88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - if it is a name of group why he call himself a professional Yamakasi???

drls1313 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - idk if your talking about Yann himself, but if he did, it's because he means it is in "I am a yamakasi" as in a member of hte yamakasi. Like if there was a clan or a group called the Sharks or something, a member would say he is a shark. look it up, the yamakasi was a group of the original traceurs and freerunners

PKTN88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - He said he is a professional Yamakasi like the word Yamakasi means something like the word Traceur not a name of clan or group ..think about it .and they are not the original David Belle is. they trained with him(he was the lead) and they did not create anything David Belle did.and the freerunnig made by sabestien which it took form LE PARKOUR .

drls1313 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - all of that is 100% correct, but all the word yamakasi translates to is "strong body, strong spirit, strong person" from Lingala.

PKTN88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - that's right 100% correct

Flokked Says:
