Nov 18, 2008 - good luck, i bet itll be about a year before u can get one.
blackritchie8 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - it's very similar to the fn scar..but nice-R-
USkicksass Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I'm not as knowledgeable about guns as I wish, but I heard that the Masada is better than the FN scar, so is it? (I know that it's just a prototype so we'll probably have to wait to know for sure) Looks cool though.
Ubernoob88 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Not to mention larger companies have more influence then smaller companies.
nextgenerationwarrio Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Totally cool ,I would really like one
dvospeed1 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - i would like to see how it would hold up in an extreme dust test like the army did with M4, SCAR, 416, and XM8
bordersoldier Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - whats the release date
avatar941 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - thats right, it was built to be a last effort stronghold (maybe by Herod the Great) and in 72 the Romans laid siege to it wherein they had to build this enormous ramp to get onto the plateau that its built on and finally take it. The story goes that as the Romans got close, the inhabitants partied to be defiant, and when the Romans finally got through, everyone killed themselves to deny the Romans their revenge
Ubernoob88 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Bushmaster came to an agreement with Magpul to sell the Masada as the Bushmaster ACR, they (Bushamster) say 2nd quarter of 2008.
amexbassist Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Already been. It was made available at the beginning of the first business quarter of this year. It is around 1,400USD. Pretty sweet.
amexbassist Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - They all have their strenghts and weaknesses. The SCAR is a good mix of everything, and the Masada is ridiculously versatile. And, the Masada isn't a prototype anymore. It was released at the beginning of this year for around 1,400USD a piece. One thing that this one has over all the others is that it's extremely versatile. It has barrels chambered for 5.56NATO, 6.8 Remmington, and 5.45 and 7.62x39 (the AK rounds) so that our special forces can use the enemy's ammo.
ChronoLegionX Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Well, the barrel is free floated and there appears to be free space between working parts, so I'm guessing it will hold up well. Remember, there is no gun out there (besides perhaps the AK47) that doesn't need routine cleaning.
cooks2006 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - That is the silliest thing I have ever heard."World Court"? Exactly WHERE is this located?
JamaicaGR10 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - The WORLD, obviously. haha.
jtat12 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - It would be totally useless for the U.S. Military to adopt a new assault rifle that fires a 5.56mm. If they are going to adopt a new gun they might as well address the problems with the knock down power of the 5.56mm and go with a larger or higher velocity round. That said i do realize that this gun can be chambered to fire the 6.8 spec or 7.62 x 39 mm. The latter bein the round that the ak 47 fires.
pbs357 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Interesting. It can fire with the stock folded? That would be a great sell to specialty markets like dignitary protection, armed bodyguard, Blackwater types etc. As for military usage, I'm wondering how much heat the poly material can handle. Just 90 rounds at the range heats up my AR pretty well. Great features/options though for sure.
turikum7 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - nice carbine, im waiting 2 buy 1, amazing...
bordersoldier Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - its bushmasters now , i hope they dont fuck it up
Funkgab Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - xxGarcesxx if magpul gets sued, so will HK for stealing the design of the AR180 for their G36. Why get sued? They made thier own gas piston system.
pcgentile Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - from what I saw on the discovery channel this weapon seems a damned sight easier to modify/maintain than the FN SCAR series.
turkeylips17 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - i think this thing looks like a amalgamation of the m16, xm8/G36, and FNH SCAR.
T850CSM101a1676 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I hope those are easy to convert.I really don't care about 922(o), I am not answerable to the state. They can catch me after all the legislaters are dead!Freedom for all!!!!!
nominalvelocity Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Looks like they're trying to target the special forces market with this weapon; that is, being lighter (plastic), shorter than the M4 (folding butt), while still retaining M16/M4 parts interchangeability. Sure, it's never going to be a standard issue weapon for the troops, but it looks like an attractive assault rifle for special forces and SWAT use.
Tehwaffet Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - With is being a piston system, the heat is on the forward end and the places surrounding the piston and barrel are aluminum, with the inside being a steel so the bolt carrier does not ware it down.
deadwood223 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Because small companies like Magpul and Robinson aren't as rich as colt, thus try harder with their products. Colt keeps pushing out the same shit because they dont have designers of their own, they just keep recycling Stoner and Browning designs.
