Only Farmers getting Fed subsitides to grow CRAP corn like it. Ethanol will not work in cold temp, holds more water & has less energy, MPG goes down. BIODIESEL works becaue it uses WASTE VEG OIL. Growing corn crops for fuel will not work. Brazil works because they use suger; suger cane grows like weeds there & energy out/in ratio is good. CORN=POOR.

Nov 18, 2008 - It's not quite true that Biodiesel can be used in any Diesel engine, you actually need to find very specific models to run without modification. Like 97-99 TDI Jettas or 01-03 TDI Golfs. The most important features you should look for are the injection system and the presence of some sort of preheating system. That being said, it's a brilliant fuel, much better than ethenol.
