Nov 18, 2008 - I already have a 998 Matrix. I was all set to buy a 1098 to add to my collection, but am convinced that my choice to by a Rosa 848 is a superb one. I do like Japanese bikes, but there is nothing that can touch a Ducati.

Nov 18, 2008 - There is no difference on the insurance front in terms of the style of the bike. The ducati is more expensive and thus more expensive to insure. These are sport bikes and there is no way to hide that. My 998 and 1098S are near as expensive to insure as my BMW M3

Nov 18, 2008 - It's called Desmodromic valve actuation. It's the mechanism that opens and closes the valves. The only bike made with that feature. Most are cams and I think Mv Agustas are pneumatic. Might be wrong on that one.
