Nov 18, 2008 - Hey Dave! I'm loving your vids! I have done the potato soup and the wife has put me in charge of the kitchen now. I got a couple new DO (a 10" and a 12") and I am itching to try more things in them. I have done a few dishes including the ribs. It has been a while since a DO episode. I know its summertime here (Alabama) and time to cook outside. Lets see some more of that backyard with some DO delites! Thanks and keep em comin' dude! Buddy

doomer79 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Looks great as usual Dave, but I don't understand the reasoning behind using the coals if the smoke never gets to the meat.

jaybobed Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - THe coals are for the heat? I just wanted to show that you could cook this anywhere. even if you were camping. I think the dutch oven is cool that way!THanks,Dave

Nov 18, 2008 - A dutch oven really comes in handy when you are without power for a week due to Ike. I cooked a pot of chicken, left it in overnight, no refig, and we ate it the next day. A fireplace, grill and dutch oven, and a country boy can survive. S.C. looks a lot like east Tx. Beautiful.

jaybobed Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - LOL Country boy can survive! Hope you are doing OK!THanks,Dave

Mooncranker Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Dave, please don't stop now! I think I have now seen all your vids, and now, like any true american, I want more! How about a camp dutch oven series? Pineapple upside down cake in a Lodge #12 camp oven. You can do it! Thanks, and please keep on keepin on! Nick

Nov 18, 2008 - Hey man, let me tell you that it's not only Americans cheering Dave on, he's got fans all over the world. This is the effect that good food can have, it brings people from all over the world together. Before I saw Dave's videos, I knew that Carolina existed, and that there was North and South Carolina, but I didn't have any reference as to what Carolinians were like. All I can say is, if half of Carolinians are like Dave, then I want this state to be a model for the entire modern world.

Mooncranker Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Dave, where you be at? We need some new vids please. I am gonna order your dvd as soon as I get my next paycheck. Keep on keepin on, we need to get you on TV so you can have me as a guest brother! Peace!
