Nov 18, 2008 - The calendar on the wall at the drugstore read 1934. The commercial was filmed during the summer of 1994, just south of Houston, Texas. I played the part of the father. A very young Michel Gondry and a BBH crew (Partizan) were brilliant. A joy to work with. It made it into the Guiness Book for winning the most awards by an international commercial. Considered too controversial, at the time, it never ran in the U.S. Canada or Japan.
