Nov 18, 2008 - This is the sickest shit I've ever seen. Maybe the biggest wave at Teahupoo I've ever seen anyone ride...puts Laird's famous ride in perspective.

Nov 18, 2008 - I hate that feelin: When if you move towards the beach the wave will hit you flat, you move towards the wave, you'll be in the crest, and you stay in the same place... well, It hurts.

Nov 18, 2008 - fucking wave! nice tube but very dangerous... i heard teahupoos wave spots are very shallow and close to the reefs below. You wipe out its almost certain youll hit the reefs coz of the wave above.

Nov 18, 2008 - argh i hate it when ppl comment on surfing and they dont have a clue. you cant jst "stand" infront of the wave. it breaks onto a very large shalow reef which goes for 100's of metres on all direction. its technically not a wave as it breaks from a high wall in the ocean floor onto a shallow reef. if you wipeout deep you will hit the reef and have a good chance at dying. it is the heaviest and most dangerous wave in the world except for maybe pipeline (only cos more surf it=more chance of death.
tommyadams666 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - there is also no beach infront of the wave, it is jst reef for a few hundred metres then rock cliff faces where jet ski wreckage often ends up.
SamSPASTICrOx Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - they are tiny ony bout 4 foot and its sand ive been here cock heads
kaYboi8o8 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - God I hope you're kidding or I'm just going to have to shoot myself. No, that wave is not at all 4 feet....the surfer alone is probably 5 feet 10 inches and the wave completely covered him. Clearly and quite obviously you've never been to this surf spot because there isn't sand any where near this break.
