Nov 18, 2008 - go listen to someone like bryn terfel or samuel ramey, and listen to domingo. completely different timbre, completely different voice category.domingo does sound awesome as always, but he's not a baritone, or a raised baritone for that subject matter, and rolando villazon (lyric tenor) does look like mr. bean. domingo singing here does sound like a tenor singing in his lower register.

Nov 18, 2008 - Good to know, and as for Terfel and Ramey, they're actually my two of my favorite singers so it was kind of a brain fart on my part, and to be honest I couldn't finish listening to this piece it just didn't seem to fit.
