Lucienne Delyle brings her version of the song "Ich will nicht vergessen", sung by Zarah Leander in the movie "Der Weg ins Freie"...In the movie she sings it near the end of the movie where her character, once famous opera singer Antonia Corvelli is reduced to singing in a restaurant for survival. It is a dramatic song and was not a big seller when released on record...Lucienne Delyle brings us a very jazzed up version, entirely different from the original and has a more smoky nightclub sound to itThe movie premiered in France as "Le Chemin de la liberté" on 01/02/1942.Lucienne Delyle's version was never commercially released as preference was given to the singer Lynda Myren's version, which was more melodramatic and closer to the original as sung in the movie...All pictures/poster/images from personal collection
