For example another person brought up gravity - any idiot can drop something and see that it falls; that is worlds apart from scientists hypothesizing that a sub-atomic partical may be responsible for this force. Scientists study specifics when everyone else in the world wants them to create general answers. It doesn't happen this way, it never has.

At its essentials, the big bang theory states that since we have proven that everything in the universe seems to be moving away from everything, in the past everything in the universe must have been closer.

Not only are things moving away in the universe - the expansion is accelerating! - It is a logical and probable theory, but still just a theory. Proving one facet does not prove the whole - that is the composition fallacy.
