Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in the U.S. and is the single most common cause of blindness among African-Americans. Almost 80,000 Americans are blind from glaucoma, and at least another 2 million currently have the disease. Half of those with glaucoma don't know it. Robert N. Weinreb, M.D. discusses how vision loss can be prevented if the disease is caught and treated in time. Series: "Health Matters" [6/2000] [Health and Medicine] [Show ID: 4902]

Nov 18, 2008 - This is absolutely excellent! As I am quite interested in Visual Rehab Therapy, I have found this to be incredibly helpful. This video is clear, scientific, but somehow expresses an underlying compassion in medicine.
