video n 1The Rubettes were an English pop band of the 1970s assembled in 1973 by the songwriting team of Wayne Bickerton, the then head of A&R at Polydor Records, and his co-songwriter, Tony Waddington, after their doo-wop and 1950s American pop-influenced songs had been rejected by a number of existing acts. The band duly emerged at the tail end of the glam rock movement, wearing trademark white suits and cloth caps on stage.text:YeahI can do ityeah I can do ityeah.I can really rockoohI can do itI can really rockoohI can do itI can really rockoohI can do it.I can really rockI can do itI can do itI can really rock oohI can do it. Nov 18, 2008 - watching this video makes me smile and the drummer makes me laugh when he dropped his drumstick and pulled faces. I loves this song. It was good and fun in the 70's when I was in my 20's. They are true professional musicians and I am wondering are they still performing today?

Nov 18, 2008 - I remember this tune, great at the time although it was when i was only a nipper.I hated Slade but it was only because they were always hogging the charts on totps every week,72-73.I liked Mud but Bay City Rollers were horrible.

Nov 18, 2008 - loved this as a kid but when you look at them now not one of them look like "pop stars" look at the fucking state of the lead guitarist and the look on the keyboard player just after the drummer makes a bollock fucking priceless

billybandol Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - You are right.I disliked Bay City Rollers too. They were the first gay boygroup.

spikeman14 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - TBH music these days is crap. The "pop-stars" are talentless and people like them because they look good. Here are a band, maybe not the best looking, but the music awesome! Blame MTV!

montserrat537 Says:
