Walkthrough Video for Mega Man 3 on the NESSnake Man is tough! He only has two weaknesses, the Shadow Blade and Needle Cannon. He does tons of damage, and his main attack is just trying to run into you. the stage makes it alot harder to avoid him also

Nov 18, 2008 - Yeah, you could fight him better using your normal arm cannon than the Shadow Blade. Needle Man's weapon hurts him the most though, but the problem with that is you need his weapon to really hurt Gemini Man, whose weapon really hurts Needle Man. So the only time I use the Needle weapon on him is later on when he reappears in the Wily stage.

Nov 18, 2008 - You know... Snakeman is relatively easy to beat only getting hit once or so with no weakness weapon >.>Just stand on the center rise and when he is running towards you and he drops to the lower rise jump over him and shoot him... repeat.

Nov 18, 2008 - He IS hard. Most of the bosses in this game are. I'd say Top Man is the easiest and should probably be the first one to defeat, but even he isn't exactly easy.

Nov 18, 2008 - My method to beat Snakeman is to keep retreating to the raised section in the middle. From there you can easily jump over him without being hit. Then keep firing your weapon at him as you are making your way back up to the platform. You can even continue shooting him from up there when snakeman jumps into the line of fire. You can beat him with your basic arm-cannon easily like this.

Nov 18, 2008 - Also the music was just awesome. Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 2 are my favorite ones. The 4th one was just didn't have the same magic. I didn't like that super shot feature (by holding the fire button down) that debuted in MM4. It made things a little too easy (though MM4 is pretty difficult). I liked the slide and Rush being introduced in part 3. Part 2 on Game Boy is also cool.
