Nov 18, 2008 - Do I know you? It seems that you know things about me that I actually didn't even know."God is bigger than what you have been taught""indoctrination which you are clearly still attached to"Sounds like you are putting me into some kind of specific demographic. On the other hand, the use of the term "person" to help describe God is the use of anthropomorphic language. Describing God to the best of our human ability. You aren't making a groundbreaking point that discounts the trinity.

Nov 18, 2008 - Personally, this is a great comedy video (comedy section) to me, perhaps satire for some. Its got its relevent pts, but on the whole i'm not sure if anybody who's really serious abt deciding their faith is gonna rely on a 4 min cartoon video. I'm sure there're other options.

Nov 18, 2008 - My me, my me, why have I deserted myself? If you dispute that wording then you believe that Jesus is NOT God.
FillTheirVoid Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - In a way what you said is true, but not entirely. The Father is not the Son, and the Son is not the Father. However they are both God, the same one God.It's impossible to fully comprehend. Try explaining yourself to an ant sometime.

Nov 18, 2008 - It's impossible to fully comprehend because it just makes no sense.
FillTheirVoid Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - It does make sense, but we can't fully understand it. God is a lot bigger than we are.

Nov 18, 2008 - women inferior to men? what? none of those religions do that :S
Hotora86 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Of course they do. It's pretty obvious in Islam, not so much in Christianity but:1. God - father (male)2. God - son (male)3. Prophets (male)4. Apostles (male)5. Pope (male)6. First human - Adam (male)7. Guilty of first sin (first one to eat the apple) - Eve (female)+ Evil is often personified as a woman in the Bible.
GamingIsTheBest Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - what do you mean "It's pretty obvious in Islam, not so much in Christianity"? you just said what they both believe in.. well generally speaking. But if you study the history of both religions when rising, women played an important role in both, therefore signifying their equality.
Hotora86 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - important role - yesequality - no
TeslasRadio Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - The Bible doesn't forbid polygamy in most cases, monogamy is a product of later church rulers.

Nov 18, 2008 - Reformed Baptists are a great bunch of folks. They don't advocate pre-marital sex because it just might lead to dancing? If you're ok with that then they are one faith based organization that grows steadily. You might give them a looksie? :-)

Nov 18, 2008 - Osama bin Laden is a Deist. That's not saying much.Deism is lumping in a whole lot of stuff. Most Christians today are Darwinists-survival of the fittest mentality like the secularists. They embrace the far left liberal agenda like Adolf Hitler-murdering the unborn.

Nov 18, 2008 - "My me, my me, why have I deserted myself? If you dispute that wording then you believe that Jesus is NOT God. "Have you ever heard of this thing called the Trinity. I think they've been using it to explain that wording for... hmmm... quite a while now.
bdf2718 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Rational thought is not your strong point, is it?If the Trinity is true then Jesus was talking to himself on the cross. Foolishly, as he could have blased his persecutors with laser beams from his eyes.It took the Catholic church over 1,000 years to come up with an explanation for that paradox: they gave Jebus multiple personality disorder. Oh, they said that sometimes he had Jebus nature and sometimes he had Gawd nature, but it's still MPD. Or maybe multiple deity disorder.
bodrius Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Nice fallacy.
rafirice1 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - alakazoom, i'll accept your use of "persons" to describe the trinity, but stand by what I am saying about the utter complexity and futility of trying to be specific about the structure of "God". Isn't it odd that one of your comments pretty much agrees with that complexity, and the other goes on to simplify it. Doesn't this make you "torn" between your INTUITION, which tells you that God is bigger than what you have been taught, and your INDOCTRINATION which you are clearly still attached to?
