Nov 18, 2008 - The guitar players are amazing. One of them happens to be my guitar teacher, and i've never had a better one.

jdirolf Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - It's a sampler. Boss Dr. Sample.

KatsuGuitar Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - awe come on dude. They aren't terrible players at all. It wasnt exactly technical...but it kept the groove and the mode very well. Which is the point is it not?

Nov 18, 2008 - love it no cheezy shit

joker1999 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - pretty crappy

bluesenight Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - it was nice, the problem was with the drummer.. jesus he gave me a Headache. any way some one know what kind of guitar used the guy with the glasses?

nmbrsx Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I really like this band. Bon Lozaga and Hansford Rowe have been at it for going on 3 decades and have built a significant list of collaborators including Pierre Moerlen, Benoit Moerlen, Allan Holdsworth, David Torn, Gary Husband, Happy Rhodes and others. I originally saw them with Pierre Moerlen's Gong and as Gongzilla a couple times recently -- always a treat. Give their East Village Sessions CD a listen.

Nov 18, 2008 - Hansford Rowe has a solo album out too. If you like Gongzilla you'll like it too...check guitaronedotcom.

Nov 18, 2008 - I believe it is a parker fly guitar, couldn't tell you what model thought because I dont know much about them.

bluesenight Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - lol i actually waited a month for some one to answer my question, thanks man.

lesshowerrings Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - no problem

bluetrainlocomotion Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Yes, it's a parker fly 'classic' - There are two types: 'deluxe and classic' - This one is red and is typical for the classic models ... ;) Check out the website 'parker guitars' ... Cheers

bluetrainlocomotion Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Sorry folks, next time better :) It's all about the fun, okéé ;)

caminofeld Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - It is what it is, and I dig it...But personally I feel that the drummer could've toned it down a notch or three. I have a "thunder god" in my band too, which makes it difficult to play dynamic jazz. Sensitivity to volume and tone put so much more feeling and emotion in the music.

brazilianuno Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I know Gary. He's got a a good ear for the piece. You r at the mercy of the sound techs at some of these gigs. We keep our ear monitors in, but u can't always tell. Nice piece though. dh

trootroo Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Does it not register with people that Gary Husband is not responsible for the mix!!!????

monsterbottom Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Yeah that's a particularly harsh and abrasive sounding mix whoever did for this DVD. It's of course odd and a bit silly people often make the mistake of blaming the musicians. There we go. Silly.

brazilianuno Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I e mailed Gary. I will see him this summer with work. He had to check the this piece. All he remembers is that he had a blast with this band. That's all that matters to cats who play.

k8fan Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - It sounds like a soundboard mix. What that means is you get whatever the sound guy is sending to the main speakers. The problem is that if the bass and guitar amps are especially loud on stage, more of the drums are going to wind up in the speakers. Or only some particular drums, like the snare. A real concert DVD will involve getting "split" feeds of every microphone on the stage, recording each to a separate track and doing a special mix after the fact, like one would do for a live album.

timminananda Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I heard Gary Husband on a recent recording with Trilok Gurtu and wondered just who the heck this guy is !! Really great coming across this video. Danke, Senff-menchen!! Is this a Gong spin-off?? Is that Pierre Moerlin on vibes? Someone give me a shout, please.

timminananda Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - oops, sorry, gang!! Gary Moore was on Broken Rhythms. My bad, but this is still a cool cut and would love to know more about the players. Peace !!

johnarthurknight Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - This is the best sound quality ever on youtube.Usually youtube eats drums with mp3 distortion and kills bass, but this is a rare exception. It feels like I am there.

cribguy Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I will be seeing these guys tonight at the 5Spot in Little Five Points. Looking forward to it!

silhy37 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - The only problem is that the sound don´t go with the images, you can notice that watching and lisening to the drummer hiting the snare..
