Nov 18, 2008 - Way to work over those Ki-46 Dinahs. No contest, the Dinah was a recon bird with a bunch of guns thrown into it's nose with very little other mods. It was fast in a flat cruise, but had no hope in a turning fight. Those twin .50 pods were bad-assed, nothing like 8 heavies and an Oerliken 20mm to chew your competition apart. Now go kill some Ki-61's/84's/100's, there's a challenge.

Nov 18, 2008 - Check your facts. Actually there WAS a P-38 built with the Rolls Royce-Merlin (Packard-Merlin in the USA) but production of the Mustang saw the Merlins go to that air frame instead of the P-38.

That is the reason the Merlin performed better in a simple engine install. Lockheed solved the problem by fitting turbosuperchargers instead. Then there was no reason for using Merlins. Due to the war, development work on a more advanced supercharger for the Allison was redone. However, by the time it was getting ready, US cancelled piston engine projects wholesale.

Nov 18, 2008 - you have to bind a button to the "remove wheel chocks" function if one is not already bound. the wheel chocks keep the plane stationary on a constantly moving naval deck. press the chocks button to 'unlock' your aircraft and allow it to move.
