Lars Ulrich is one of the greatest not because the way he plays, i mean really everyone who had been playing over 20 years is really awesome, but lars is cataloged, among others because they are genious in the music. Lars compose really good things with his instruments, that i bet not even some of the most advanced drummers would thought about.

As I am a drummer I give a lot of value to Mike's work. I also think he is one of the greatest as he also compose most of Dream Theater together with John Petrucci. Also, for the ones yhat like Dr Th I would advice them to listen to "Liquid Tension Experiment 1 and 2"
