Nov 18, 2008 - All MOS's are training you for battle notice Basic COMBAT Training.......and i think if they were afraid to shoot a weapon or take a hit they wouldn't have enlisted in the first place...you think people are scared and thats why they don't go Infantry? there are alot of other MOS's out there that are alot more interesting to other people than Infantry......one reason i will not go infantry is the whole Infantry attitude "If you aint Infantry you aint crap"

Nov 18, 2008 - are u in the military now? if not ask someone who is (not a recuiter) they will tell you the same. the Army and Marine Corps are giving all none combat MOS to Civilian. it's cheaper for them. ive been in for 4 years now and seen more and more Civilian taking MOS jobs. AND TRUST ME YOUR NONE 11B BASIC IS NOTHING LIKE 11B. YOU THINK IM JOKING SIGN UP AND GO TO FT.BENNING

Nov 18, 2008 - lol when you get in the Army your going to find out its nothing like you where thinking and there called gov job. when my ssg got out he got one. they pay a lot more then the army. your not in the army you WORK for the army there a BIG diff (hard to get) and theres nothing better than 11B but hey its your life so have fun.

Nov 18, 2008 - I'm in the Infantry. 1st. Armored Division. I don't know if all M.O.S. are going civilian, but i know chef and construction in a non-combat zone is handled by Civies.

Nov 18, 2008 - I would personally love to see the infantry operate without its combat medics... the infantry is cool, I love the infantry, I plan on serving with you guys throughout my career as a combat medic, all MOS's are equally important. Yeah Benning and infantry OSUT is more difficult than other BCTs, but in the infantry combat is your job, the other MOS's combat is part of their job, but they also serve another purpose.
