I dont approve of it, but it wouldn't have to happen if other countries didnt come into Canadian waters and fish the cod populations to near extinction. Stop the factory ships that trawl for cod.. stop the amazing wastage that human beings create to supply supermarkets. I dont know what you think seals eat but cod is their main staple, and they eat alot of cod. If the cod population in Newfoundland is to remain at all then certain steps must be put implace to ensure it. Is the killing of baby seals right NO, but in order that they do not starve to death the populations must be controlled. maybe that will prevent seal starvation EH.
