Nov 18, 2008 - One of the longest videos I've watched on YouTube and one of the most entertaining. What a nice guy. Very ordinary but engaging, enlightning, amusing and genuine.A musical genius, but still human thank goodness. A great antidote to so much of the "music industry" today.

namlook1 Says:

nationaltryst Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - three cheers for robert wyatt!!! possibly the single most influential artist among my friends & me. his music throughout his brilliant career demonstrates the value of honesty & humanity in art & music, & gives us hope on such occasions as the charlatans seem poised to ruin music yet again! they never succeed, because they're in it for the wrong reasons. robert's poise, honesty, sense of humor, humility & effortless wisdom inspire us all. (listen to me ramble on...that's the charlatan in me!..)

nationaltryst Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - unfortunately, i have to agree about the female interviewer. i think she means well, but she's definitely out of her depth. robert is, as you point out, exceedingly patient and polite, as we would expect.
