Nov 18, 2008 - What exactly were the kings horses supposed to do?

minimin5 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - In the original one Humpty Dumpty was an egg like being, that once he fell, he "cracked" and the supposedly pieces of "egg" fell on the ground. Th Kings horses and the Kings Men were supposed to gather up the pieces of Humpty Dumpty and try to put them together. But as there wasnt a "sticky substance" in those days in which the rhyme was created, they could not put Humpty Dumpty together again.Hope that has aswered your question. Any other questions on any english or irish nursery rhyme ask moi.

Nov 18, 2008 - Yes its just part of the brainwashing for young children, Its teaching them there is a king and he has men that will pretend help you, but they will leave you splattered on the ground with nothing. Or it could just be an innocent nursery rhyme ;) That's it little eggy, go back to sleep now...

Nov 18, 2008 - is humpty dumpty an egg?

DeadJerker Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Oh come on. Humpty Dumpty is an egg. He's supposed to SHATTER. All the classic fairy tales are getting so wussified. No wonder the Generation Y kids think that stuff like the US version of _The Ring_ is actually scary
