Nov 18, 2008 - This is important for condenser mics and ribbon mics, but for the mic in this video(SM57) a drop won't do any damage. Those things are tough as hell!

Nov 18, 2008 - Agreed. Poor use of prop. A 57 can be fired through a cannon and still sound great on a gtr cab. Ideally, take the mic off the clip first.
