Nov 18, 2008 - Right on!! are you going to use another identical motor as the generator?
edfrhes Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Perhaps put roto verter on air conditioner. Cool house for two or three cents an hour. Not much roto verter info on the internet.

Nov 18, 2008 - Next goal is to get the motor to run off of battery, or to charge batteries perhaps with one of the other coils of the motor. I am starting to look at circuits that swap batteries automatically, I need a computer controlled battery swapper, or start programming in Pic.

Nov 18, 2008 - He he, man you know when it finally works life is good.

Nov 18, 2008 - I am thinking of moving to Florida. From what I have read the best thing to do is leave the motor on 24 /7 ( since it takes so little power ) If I could loop it with another generator I may do this. I want to put in safetys for overloading, and do alot of thinking about it. But great suggestion.

Nov 18, 2008 - Wow! You have a lot of batteries! Good job with your results.

Nov 18, 2008 - Good job. Are you planning to run your house later on those batteries? I have been wondering how I am goint to utilize my 12 junk batteries now too.
marthale7 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - No... I could not supply the demand that my house has with these batteries. ......... however they are a stepping stone. They are to run my Rotoverter which in turn should charge a forklift battery ( I am thinking about buying 2 Forklift batteries and cycling them ) and a massive energizer. Forklift batteries go bad too :)

Nov 18, 2008 - Great vid Mart entertaining. Very encouraging with that SSG. If you get as creative with the Rv as you did with that SSG its gonna be one sweeet year man.

Nov 18, 2008 - That is great Mart. You told me not long ago that you were going to mark a rotoverter and you did it!!Was it difficult? Do you think you could convert a larg motor such as a electric car motor?
marthale7 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - On the Ev Gray group on yahoo they are working on doing just that. You have to tune the caps to the load you put on the machine, sounds like a good job for a pic controller and some relays.

Nov 18, 2008 - Hi Mart2amps and 115V is 230watts - way too much!At idle and no-load it should be around 20 or 30 watts(aim for 200ma AC current!)Some get it down to 12watts at idle.It spins at sinewave-cruising speed but you need to tune it with increment-changes of 1uf to the run cap and get that amps input to drop way down.Clean those bearings too and make sure you are hooked to the 460V circuit on the motor's label
marthale7 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Hi Doug,This was before I cleaned the bearings and I just got the motor turning. Results after Cleaning bearings and adding duralube oil instead.Amps 1.07Volts 123.6Watts 132PF .98 to .99PF ( I tunned it a bit )3509 RPM ( free spinning )Now I just need someone to build me an inverter. Thanks!
koneheadx Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Hi MartStill seems high amps even at 1 amp input - do you have the 469V circuit hooked up?3500rpm is nice to spin one of those 1200W 3500rpm home generators (I know you have one!)Output the generatror with a sinewave-peak trigger circuit and you are there and beyond.

Nov 18, 2008 - Is this a perpetual motion machine? I'm confused. Did he say that he's getting more power out than he's putting in.
marthale7 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - No such statement was made.
