Thank Mifune Blog

Nov 18, 2008 - I think the music is 'Kaneda' from the Akira movie soundtrack by Geinoh Yamashirogumi.

Nov 18, 2008 - Take the five most popular modern actors you can think of, put them in a blender, and the resulting megaceleb wouldn't have a fraction of the on-screen charisma this man had.Legend.

bwanasan Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - It is rather ironic that the arguably the greatest actor in the japanese film history originally wanted to work in the camera department in Toho studio. Mifune felt that making a living as an actor is not a manly thing. But maybe that's what makes him so rare and fascinating to watch - the most actors have rather feminine and narcissistic traits but this man is straight as hell!

vegeta2332 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I lost all my Mifune/Kurosawa and other martial arts DVDs in a burglary in Nov. 2007. I really miss being able to watch them Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Shogun, Redbeard, Hidden Fortress etc., but this snatch of Mifune is very rewarding. When I find the thieves, though, my blade will not be sleeping in its scabbard.
