Nov 18, 2008 - Well, considering that this trail took place in Britain why not the title? Whats sad is that in other countries, people are still being prusecuted for being gay, they are not allowed to get married, and they are not given their rights they deserve. In 2008 mimd you.

Nov 18, 2008 - The actors who played McNally and Wildeblood are both such beautiful men; are they popular in Britain?

Nov 18, 2008 - This aint any tale of heroism. eddie disappeared, Peter ,wanting to b true to himself, started advocating for gay rights, Montagu denied his homosexuality. it was still uptight man.

Nov 18, 2008 - The Wolfenden report is one of the most stunning and forward-looking documents of 20th century Britain. John Wolfendon is a hero of our age with an intelligent singular notion that furthered the cause of freedom and gay rights in Britain immensely.

Nov 18, 2008 - haha i love that Canada and Fiji have higher morals then the UK haha

Nov 18, 2008 - A riveting portrayal of how it was to be gay in a 1950's Britain. I was a young gay man during these times and was forced to live a dual life. There is still much work to be done to get the law out of our bedrooms, gay and straight but as a gay man, now 66 years old it's thanks to people like Wildeblood that I am be able to enjoy the freedoms which I now have. I am indebted to these brave men who paved the way for what we take for granted today.

Nov 18, 2008 - Firstly, I'd like to thank WeegieLou for posting the videos - otherwise I would never have seen them. Secondly, the BBC for making them. It's why the BBC is so important. Can anyone imagine Fox making a programme like this? Thirdly, it shows just how homophobic and bigoted the police are re gay people(I accept that they are changing, though at glacial speeds). And finally: Peter Wildblood and everyone like him, who fought and suffered so that gay people today could have a better, happier lives.

Nov 18, 2008 - Why don't you crawl back under the stone you came out from. You probably think you are promoting Islamic values. In fact, you are only showing what a very primitive, ignorant and uneducated person you are. Islam is a religion of love and understanding. Real Muslims don't need narrow-minded and frightened little creeps like you to defend them. Go broaden you your mind (if you're not too scared).

Nov 18, 2008 - To avoid any confusion, my comment below was intended as a response to the posting from DrIjazKhan below.

Nov 18, 2008 - Its true Canada does have higher morales than Britain. Canada has gay marriage and Britain only has civil unions. Although Canada did take longer to decriminalize homosexuality.

Nov 18, 2008 - This was just an incredible movie, I'm planning to show it to my UofA Medicine classmates. And I was completely and suddenly undone by the couple right at the end there, just the joy and pride in their faces as they celebrated the longevity of their love. Seriously just instantly a weepy mess, and I'm not someone who cries at movies.
rachzen Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I know! The only time I've ever heard my country placed on a rank with Fiji for anything.
rachzen Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I know! Was it a reference to the fact that Wildeblood worked for CBC later on? That's what Wiki says anyway.
