Nov 18, 2008 - This is the greatest thing I've ever heard.

Ecretmanatee Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - The album is remarkable and, in several instances, Haden's take exceeds the originals.

alanr5682 Says:

ithastobe Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Are they singing 'cha ching'? Reminds me of a Saturday Night skit. Ya know the two sisters signing the 'hits'? Sorry - not diggin it.

SmackDat13 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - This is Gay

jcamp5478 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - SmackDat13 - i'm going to hate on you here. This is awesome! You need to read up on how this whole record came about. This is incredible.

wildbassplayer Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Go listen to some Soulja Boy.

BrickLaneBetty Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - sorry but i have to agree with smack dat. She's hugely talented but is not a true who fan and you can feel that it sounds like a SUV or spray colgne commercial. I'm a lifelong Who fan and it's great but soulless.'The bees are coming....' zzzzzzzzzzzz

BrickLaneBetty Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - DREAM ON!

TZKeyz Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - This is INCREDIBLE! TZ

crazypjdancer Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - i love the who and i think petra haden did an extremely good job!! i love her work. but i can't chose which version i like better. they are both good in their own ways.

Tranchera Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - This is pretty damned good. I want to hear what she did with some of the nicer songs from Sell Out like Sunrise or Our Love Was.Guess I gotta buy it.

Tranchera Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - "SUV or spray colgne commercial."That makes sense, seeing as though it's off of Sell Out.

BrickLaneBetty Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Tampon commercial

Tranchera Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Or that. Whatever.

Entwistle54 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Girls can't be gay dumbass

Entwistle54 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - "some of the nicer songs?!!" I Cab See For Miles is one of the best ones on there.

BrickLaneBetty Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - It's just not my thing. Rachel Fuller does great Who covers and so does Eddie Vedder but this just hurts. All Who fans like myself who sing their music have a bit (ok a lot )of petty resentment about non-addicts coveriung their stuff. She's talented but not a dyed in the wool Who head , it's just too Mills College crack night for me.

Tranchera Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - She covered the whole album using an 8-track and her own voice! It seems dyed in the wool to me.It's not very Who-ey, sure, but it's still respectable.

BrickLaneBetty Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I'm well aware of the genius that went into the disc and it kills me with envy but from what I garnered it was a friend or brother who was the original addicted Whohead not her.

tamarindophoto Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Ummm, Pete Townshend absolutely loved her version of The Who Sell Out. Like it or not, it is an amazing thing to cover all the instruments of a Who album, including drums, with your voice. It takes a thorough knowledge of the composition. Petra is brilliant.

retronostalgic Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Well, they're a lot better looking than The Who at any rate...

sagm999 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - This is god damn awesome.

satinhooks Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - yeah, i love the who and petra, but... i don't know. not that it needs to be soulful... it's so white bread... plain. I can't jam this everywhere i go. it's nice though.
