Nov 18, 2008 - where were you?
digitalendemic Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - We were in Central Va for this one. We were on a restricted claim that you have to have a membership to be on, which is available to everyone. Hopefully our next episode will include exploring the local caves.

Nov 18, 2008 - Fresh water with cotton balls in it may weigh 8.5 pounds to the gallon, but fine quartz gravel would weigh twice that. I've had basaltic sands that weighed 80 pounds to a partly filled 5 gallon bucket.Thats 20 buckets to the cubic yard. A vibrator plate is great for separating those fine concentrates. Half or more of ALL gold is invisible to the naked eye-which doesent mean its not there. Its all about knowing how to concentrate and separate it. Good luck and happy camping.
