Scotttabla Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Maybe the stupid people in my government(USA) will realize the beauty of the culture and people of Iran and we can have cultural exchanges. It is harder to kill people when you love their music. Peace.Imagine.-Scott

azerimusic Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I agree with you but this is not irani culture, this is azerbaijani culture..Azerbaijan is different from Iran...Azerbaijan is of turkic-caucasian origins...it is true that there live great number of azeris in iran as well but it is persians who rule in iran and their culture and language differ from turkic azeris living there and also in Azerbaijan..i just wrote all this for extra info..in case if needed..anyways 10x for your appreciation of Azeri music!

Scotttabla Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Sorry about that. I know Azerbaijan has it's own culture. When there is some overlap with the same instruments in several countries, it gets confusing sometimes. For example, the Gaval, the fame drum with the little round jingles inside the frame: I think they also play that in Iran and Turkey, but I think it is an Azerbaijani drum. I think one can find it in other countries also. Thank you!-Scott

azerimusic Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - That is ok..Yes you are right, some instruments are commonly used here, I have Azerbaijani gaval music on my channel as well..u r welcome to comment there as well..just search for "qaval" on youtube and you will get it..

Nov 18, 2008 - Is it just him and a drummer?Nice quality to the sound.PS I see you are in Ireland/Irish? Is this correct?

izBaku Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Thank you "BagratidJ", you are honest. Many people just look at the nationality and dont see or hear anything else. Good musician is a good musician. During Soviet times, Zeynab Khanlarova, famous Azerbaijani singer, sometimes gave concerts in Erevan. The concert hall would be packed. Every time she traveled there, you could not buy tickets. Because people appreciated her talent. Now specially on the internet, people just cuss each other out etc. Peace to Kavkaz.
