Nov 18, 2008 - PT: She comes to my place, stays two or three days and then goes back home to the prefecture of Yamamoto in the South of Japan. Sometimes she doesn't practice, so when she comes back to my home, I have to go back where we left. First, I talk to her nicely but when shes sees that I'm getting angry, she remembers what I told her two weeks before.

tempuploader Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Of course, there are times when she isn't on top form, but what's funny with her is that when just before she goes on stage, I tell her 'you play very well, you just have to play like yesterday, if I see she didn't understand me , I'll say 'if you don't play like yesterday, I'll be mad at you'. Then she goes . She is unpredictable but very determined.03:24 * Aimi playing*

tempuploader Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - We understand it. This result comes from the rigid piano education Aimi receives. Yuko, her teacher radiates authority, and cannot hide long the tremendous affection and admiration she has for this little samurai of the keyboardAt her age, Aimi expresses far better in piano than in interviews. Nevertheless, let's ask the concerned person.

Nov 18, 2008 - It's 23:22 here , so I'll stop a bit because I'm getting tired

tempuploader Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - 04:10 Ai - usually me make a video of my practising and when I go back home I watch it and try to reproduce what Yuko told me. She also gives her opinons/advices on phone.04:30 PT - Of couse it is difficult to correct over the phone, to show her the exact keys /tone /tonality. Nevertheless I make sure she works. She thinks that I won't call her the day after but I often do it, and obviously this unexpected call surprises her and then she goes back to work

Nov 18, 2008 - 05:15 NA - The Result : this masterpiecce, Beethoven's Pathetic Sonata n8, 40 minutes. She just began to learn it summer. No need to be an expert to admire this incredible sense of phrasing.03:28 PT - I think she began to learn this piece in August, but she didn't studied it like a fanatical. She has truly being working on this piece for 1 month. In fact I think she really studiedit for 10 days, and I'm not kidding.

BrucknerEnthusiast Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - LVB1770: You're right, teachers will flock to her, waiting in line to teach her. But teachers should not teach because they want the glory of having a "star" pupil; they should only teach because they genuinely want to help.As teachers we must step aside and let pupils take the personal credit for what they have achieved. If pupils want to acknowledge our help in what they have achieved, we are grateful for their thanks. But we should never seek to take the praise for a pupil's work.

LVB1770 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Thanks so much BrucknerEnthusiast. I totally agree. You sure have a great attitude about teaching. You remind me of what many great authors of recent piano books are talking about. Giving the student room to breath and be themselves. Thanks again for all your wonderful knowledge.

Nov 18, 2008 - the piano sounds weird... NOT HER FAULT BY ANY MEANS!!! it sounds kinda wavery

Jacjacster Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Contraier..I think teachers will flock to her and wait in line to "HEAR" her...period. She plays with such emotions & passion, you can hear it in all of her pieces.. A true prodigy, if you ever watch her from her performances since the age of 3, you will understand why... extremely moving and powerful..

HawaiianTropicZone Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - She learned "Black keys" in ten days! I remember when I tried learning it at about 13...14 ... it took me over a month just to memorize the whole thing let along playing it well. Which btw I never accomplished.Watching her makes me happy and makes me weep at the same time. I wish I have a 1/3 of her talent.

HAMGNAY Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - WOW!!!! Elle est vraiment bonne!! Moi aussi je joue sur le piano, mais je suis nulle!!!

silviemusik Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I am sick.nowadays everybody wants to be Mozart.she is talented

CliveDavisRCARecords Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Search for "Conrad Tao", "Aristo Sham" and "Kit Armstrong" here on youtube; these three Asian boys are also child prodigies (same age as Aimi) but I think they are both better than Aimi. Conrad Tao is a virtuoso in both piano and violon; and is also an accomplished composer; Kit Armstrong is also an accompished composer.

Annalisa2001 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - what can I say?She is brilliant!Wow!and I know what i say,I am piano teacher in the european school but I hadn't so talented student!Bravo for her and her teacher!

carmen286 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - man! she is briliant, indeed!

GianniBarbarona Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Conrad Tao (from Illinois, USA) alone is **absolutely** much better than her. Not to mention Aristo Sham of HK, and George Li and Kit Armstrong of USA. And Aimi should watch out also for Enzo, and siblings Hannah Huang and Hugo Huang, all from Manila, Philippines.

Pedrolito330 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - on se demande si elle la mère avait pas un piano planqué dans son ventre
