Nov 18, 2008 - it doesn't say humpty dumpty is an egg anywhere in the song. it's a metaphore, though. humpty dumpty broke itself, but they fixed it with the glue or however it really happened. the same thing with his heart in the song - it's broken, or he feels it might be, and she has the glue, which might fix it. a perfect metaphore !!
