A segment of an episode of Badge 714, The Big Bank Robbery, where my father appeared in his one and only comedic role, that of an "inept bank security guard" Leon Gibson. As campy and overacted as it is, I just love it! Enjoy!

Nov 18, 2008 - Is Pat Novack The Best or what? "Hellman's badge was shining like a lake in Ireland." Patsy, Hellman and Jocko, what a combo!!!

Nov 18, 2008 - That's Ben Morris? Hmmmmm he sounded more hardboiled in Novack.

hourlynewscaster Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Hey, stop trashing "Dragnet." You have to remember it was a CHILD OF RADIO. Before television it was necessary to have strident dialogue and often stereotypical accents and characters so that people could "see" what was happening. Additionally, we owe a lot to Jack Webb for hiring radio actors to do television. That way we know what many looked like. NBC chided him for using "unknowns" that looked like "average people." He countered: "When a cop finds an 'ordinary person' isn't that the idea?

silentsensei Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - No one is "trashing" Dragnet. You're preaching to the choir here.

Has anyone saw the Adam12 from the 1980's..I used to watch it too and it was very different from the old 1960's and 1970's ones and L.A.P.D. had the Red/Blue Federal signal Areodynics by then..No more soup can lights LOL.
