Basically if you can stand to live inside the sun. you will b fine, but i don't think i could live at 1,000,000C. Then when it finally exploads (super nova) it expands even more. Think what happens when there is a large solar flare. Communications go down temp, and you see the northern lights. Where they normally are not present.

If the Sun were to go supernova, it would not "blow up" whatever remains of the Earth in this hypothetical time period, but deplete any remaining ozone layer due to atmospheric reactions caused by gamma radiations, which would result in other forms of cosmic radiation scouring the Earth bare of life. "Blowing up" would not enter the equation.
