During the same day he claimed the trees outside of his room gave him bad thouhts, and he wanted to plant some food under them to make then less evil. So in other words: Brian was evidently feeling real bad by the time of this video. I feel sorry for him when I watch this publicity stunt, but he's in top form now and finally recognised as a great and brilliant musician.

Nov 18, 2008 - I remember seeing this on SNL as a kid. I didn't know anything about Brian Wilson becoming a recluse due to his mental problems, just that the Beach Boys did surf music. I thought the skit was funny though. On the live music portion, just look how cool Carl looks onstage compared to Love. Carl's also a "lead singer" and doesn't feel the need to strut. Love looks like a drunk dentist imitating Jagger at a party.
