Nov 18, 2008 - The best! Astor's music is the first music to give me any emotional response. (It saddens me to see there's few non-spanish speakers whom comment on this video.)

Nov 18, 2008 - Si claro..pero en su casa se escuchaba tango y su padre fué quien le regalo un pequeño bandoneón que encontró en una tienda.. así fué como desde muy chico y casi como un juego dió sus primeros pasos en el tango...

Nov 18, 2008 - Piazzolla was the finest there was, both in terms of his musicality and his sensibility. When asked why there were no vocalists in his works, he said (I paraphrase) 'Because we killed them all. Just the music. That's all we need.'He has met his oblivion, but only in the physical. His music knows no mahasamadhi.

Nov 18, 2008 - That's an awesome quote. Thanks for showing:)This piece is awesome...my orchestra can't play it properly yet but as long as we haven't perfected it it is still something to improve and look forward and grow on.I don't like this version though. It started turning comical halfway through. Maybe this is the version is the original but the orchestral version sounds more sensual, more urgent, and sadder than this.

Nov 18, 2008 - el Bandoneón y astor piazzolla son uno, gracias maestro por tanta magia!

brainwasher9876 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Musically speaking...I like the tango bit of this version better than the orchestral version, since the Bandoneón fits in nicely with the mood. However I feel that the orchestral version of the dance bit is more beautiful. In this one in almost becomes a joke.

Nov 18, 2008 - To whoever gave me the thumbs down...that system is for whoever makes an irrelevant or absolutely incorrect remark, not whether you think whether I am right or not. Show some respect please. Just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean I was wrong.

Cocytus213 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - This is the best performance he ever did for this piece.

GianlucaCattaneo Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - ta fazendo muito mal .... nos aqui na Argentina respeitamos muitos brasileiros...especialmente na musica...O teu comentario e meio xenofobo...nao acha...??Nestas epocas vc nao pode nem brincar com isso

lesrondee Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I love the contradictions in Piazzolla's music: it's cheeky, bordering on the comical, and well, terribly sad at the same time. The ending is almost violent (dissonance and glissandos abound) much like the ending of his Le Grand Tango (reminds me of Ravel's Bolero and La Valse-- both hurtle to a spectacular but violent, final note!)
