I post this junk in empathy for relatives/friends in the industry who believe what I suspect are paranoid 'critics' up here claiming the reason the US creators keep producing these 'high-risk/critics-choice/ratings-flops' series/movies NOT in the US but in Canada is so it won't come back to bite them back in LA. Personally I blame the high Cdn $ more, I post the paranoia only as I empathize. Many failed stints must look bad on resume.

Why the show was not renewed which is same as cancelled.He even predicted 2 maybe 3 made-for-tv movies & that the spin-off series wouldn't use same story nor actors.I'm watching Grace on 'The Cleaner' right now.These fans owe you an apology Corner, obviously Grace was gone long ago.

Nov 18, 2008 - Actually the original BSG got cancelled because it cost over $1 million an episode to put together. The ratings gradually dipped during that year to where it was barely in the top 20 (monumental achievement for sci-fi though). Mork & Mindy took BSG's time slot..LOLThere was also a lawsuit involving a kid that choked on a BSG toy viper. The Lucas lawsuit got thrown out, so that didn't affect the outcome. The original was kind of dorky but as a kid I thought it was cool. BSG 80 was crap.

Nov 18, 2008 - If you look up the original series on Wiki, you'd see that it had the highest premier ratings of any show & eventhough ratings declined as time went by.You'll also read on the Nielson Rating page confirms that even when canceled, it was STILL winning its time-slot to the end. The Lucas & Universal counter-suits were dropped. Many criticised the cancelation of a series STILL winning its time-slot. This new series has never matched those ratings even on a cable channel dedicated to Sci-fi.
