Nov 18, 2008 - I have dents under my jaw from all the times my music teacher shot his fingers under my chin whenever he saw me play too low or too high. 45 Degree angles! Course, the girl in the white shirt is still better than me.

Nov 18, 2008 - You should use a neckstrap when you get the itch to have fun and dance while playing bass clarinet. I do that at football games, and I have the most fun dancing and playing. XD

Nov 18, 2008 - That is true, but if you notice she moves her whole upper body, so I imagine it isn't as band as just swinging your instrument around haha besides, you could do some serious damage to your clarinet doing that, or even the person next to you. At least by moving so much of your upper body, you give the person next to you warning that they may be hit!

Nov 18, 2008 - Very good. And, the movement is not only permissible but helpful for conducting purposes. I would agree. I would say that physical involvement in this music adds more than it detracts.

Nov 18, 2008 - Thanks for telling me. But I MUST MUST say this. I am OBSESSED with this song. It just satisfies me. The Clarinet is so wonderful. The reason in fact why I chose to play Clarinet was because it has a PURE sound. Also I like it because it's tone is so mystical.

Nov 18, 2008 - Please what is the title of the piece and did you get it on the internet?

jlyons1026 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Bartok's Romanian Folk Dances transcribed from the violin/piano. On one of the free music sheet sites they have the piece for a clarinet quintet. The mandolin really adds to the piece though. The transcribed piece I have asks for three Bb clarinets, a bass clarinet and an Alto clarinet. So this piece is slightly different. You may want to try contacting the group's manager and asking about it.

Nov 18, 2008 - One of the most fabulous interpretations. Not overplayed, not pathetic, but swift and full of energy. Who would've thought mandolin fits so well with this?
