Nov 18, 2008 - Rimpa has Just speed.. but NO SOUL... Look at the way she treats the Tabla with disdain! Terribly arrogant! She merely repeats the same stuff from on concert to the next for years... where is the taleem, the growth or thought as a musician? She is all speed and no substance, only hype..

Nov 18, 2008 - i do agree with Kaustubhshankar.... Speed is not the only talent in Tabla... It has to be there but not just that.... The content, the thoughts matter a lot... What you are playing at this age is really great... But now, try loving what you play... All the best for your future!! God bless u!!

Nov 18, 2008 - does anybody know who her guru(teacher)is.
2b02b Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Yes, but why the impatience with her? She cannot develop herself on demand - she will do that in her own good time (maybe a lifetime). Just imagine when it all does come together; speed, serenety maturity, depth, feelings... just look forward to it (instead of being demanding, impatient and arrogant with her).
2b02b Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Yes, but why must you be so impatient and demanding of a certain development that may take a lifetime (or maybe it doesn't happen). She is very young and will work out different aspects over time - just wait for it and in the meantime enjoy and appreciate.Kaustubhshankar i think you are showing some signs of arrogance and disdain towards her yourself. Don't you think?Just relax and give her space.

Nov 18, 2008 - Females' hands are a lot msaller and therefore much weaker - so, she has to tense her arms, back and shoulders to give the full effect.
