Nov 18, 2008 - On the road to N.Tx. to see my daughter when she was a little girl. A van had just been hit by a small truck & had turned over and was on fire. It was dark and I had on flip flops but I still ran over and side by side with a cowboy that I didn't know we went in that back door of that flaming van and pulled the lady that was inside out to safety before it blew up. Then we freed the man in the truck but he died. Hero, no. I didn't know CPR and the man died. The roses by the road tell me no.

There were hundreds of them, a man came along and said, " what's the point of doing this? You can't save them all," the little girl replied, no but to that ONE that was saved it makes a difference!

Nov 18, 2008 - In my own experiences, a hero in the dark is someone who decides to save a neighbor's life when it would be a lot more convenient not to. A lot of urban violence would be avoided if this rare breed of animal wasn't dying off.
