Jul 7, 2008 - I'm not quite sure what the video is about. Was the woman a Muslim in secret? Were they both Muslims to begin with? Good song, though. I'm just a little confused about the video.

Jul 7, 2008 - Because of the lyrics, I thought they were a young a couple that is Muslim but not practising and now they're being faced with the option of "cleaning up their lives". At the end she's almost putting on hijab and he's dusting off the cover of a Qur'an. humm... maybe this will be their finest hour?

Jul 7, 2008 - Here's my translation of the video. At the beginning both of the characters are non-Muslim. They get married. Then the man converts to Islam, and he wants her to convert to Islam too, but she gets mad. When he leaves she tries on the hijab, considering it. Then she gets frustrated and runs off. He's reading the Qur'an. This shows that if he is not Muslim, he is in the process of becoming one. She comes back and they reconcile. Then, she's reading the Qu'ran too, so she decided to convert as well

Jul 7, 2008 - The man and woman in the beginning represent young Dawud and I guess his lover at the time. Because at the end, it transitions from that man to brother Dawud with the same scarf around his neck. I suppose it goes back to the time when he embraced Islam, and this is one of the relationships that was tested through his embracing of the religion.

ribenariver Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - I think its just about domestic/family discord and about making the right move (towards reconciliation) can make the relationship or the wrong move (to discord) can break the relationship. I dont think its necessarily about coversion to islam, but that may well be a sub-story.
