If you look at Islamic history you'll find even the prophet had uncles and relatives who did not believe or accept Islam. They weren't killed. So it's more like who practices that and where. There is nothing divine about this book. It's obvious from the content that it was made up/stolen from other religions. Even today Moslems are arguing over the right version.

Hadith needs to be verified before it can be accepted wholeheartedly. So in answer the life of Muhammed is exemplary, primarily because its declared in the Quran in which there is no doubt what so ever.
