Sep 7, 2008 - Nothing wrong with a pastor prospering if that is God's will. I was simply making a joke...sorry if you took offense. I DO have a problem with Creflo butching scripture in an interview. Creflo said the "rich young ruler" who everyone knows went away sad, unable to follow Jesus because he valued his wealth more, gave away his wealth, followed Jesus and received over 100fold back. Creflo's version of the story never happened in the Bible. I take issue with that...not with him having money.

JC said that to that dude cause he knew his heart wasn't right towards cash that's why he went away grieved, JC was showing him that although he wanted to be down, he didn't have the character to really follow Christ. By taking from the poor and those in need all the while trying to sell God making people think that they too can be filthy rich. But the interesting part is that Creflo says that he learned the "Gospel of prosperity" from Kenneth Copeland. Get this, he didn't get it from the Bible. I wonder how many people from his church are poor and in need.
